Information is collected when you open an account and request the services of Sofa Source Ltd.  This information is collected by either filling in the online form on our website or by manually filling in a Customer Account Form. The required information takes the form of, but is not limited to, names, job titles, email addresses, mailing/dispatch addresses and phone/fax numbers.

WHY WE COLLECT THIS INFORMATION & HOW WE WILL USE IT:

This information is necessary in order for us to provide you with the products and services you request from us, as follows:

• Processing your orders adequately.
• Managing and maintaining your account, ensuring all required details are up to date.
• Sending out product information, such as stock sheets, brochures etc.
• We may periodically send promotional emails about new products, special offers, tradeshows or other information which we think you may find interesting, using the email address which you have provided.

In partnership with our China office and in order to process your orders adequately, Sofa Source will transfer only essential information to our factories/shipping agents in order to fulfil your requests. This process is in line with GDPR guidelines and Sofa Source’s privacy policy.

Your information will not be passed to parties outside our organisation, other than as a necessary to fulfil your request, e.g. to order, provide and ship products and services. No information will be shared for marketing, or any other purpose, outside our organisation.

In certain circumstances we may need to disclose your Company information if you breach this privacy policy or if you breach our Terms and Conditions of trading. We may also need to disclose information if required to do so by law or by any Governmental body including, but not limited to, Revenue Commissioners. Your contact details and any other data we may hold about your business is stored securely on servers, maintained, supported, controlled and owned by our IT Service Provider, in Dublin datacentres. The data is encrypted using 256-bit AES encryption, one of the strongest block ciphers available, and is FIPS 140-2 compliance.

Our IT Service Providers are also fully registered with the data protection commissioner.

We also protect your information offline. Only employees who require the information to perform a specific job (for example, billing or customer service) are granted access to your information.
